BALCON AND AFTERPARTY REPORT
I'm still at monikapalosz's place, coming back today. It was such a great time! I wish every month was as fun as this one, hanging out with Sah and Red-Priest-Usada <3 Even with all those Paris problems >_> Spraking of which I must admit that I enjoyed way more Balcon, the small Polish con than super uber Japan Expo. Go go go Polish cons, you can do it!!!
So, since I failed with JE report I no longer want to write since Balcon was way nicer I may write about that con.
On Thursday Usada and Lancha came to my house. We had a lot of fun talking about something I don't remember now but whatever xD Lancha took to Poland some doujinshi she bought twice by mistake to sell at con and two of them didn't make it there and stayed safely in Usa and my hands. (it's so pretty and I have more materials to learn Japanese lololol)
On Friday we went to Chorzow, the city when Balcon was held, went to cafe to wait for Sah. It was so freaking hot we wanted to drink something cold but... the cafe was out of ice. So from gazillion of frappes and other cold drinks there were only ice coffees that don't require so much ice. But it was yummy anyway. Later Sah joined us with another girl she met on the train. It's funny about cons, the nearer the destination is the bigger is your group.
The rest of the day was spent on meeting other friends at the conplace and organization stuff since again with Usada we were in charge of artists' room and we had also to take care of our booth. But there was so little problems it was quite unbelievable.
On Saturday the con officially started and I was a walking zombie. I don't even know why because theoretically I had enough sleep. But in the end I ended drinking coffee twice which I never do and got a stomachache >__> But at least I didn't collapse at some point (ok, I did once, but that was on purpose).
I decided that drawing super cheap commissions on the con is actually a nice business so expect more lol And went to some nice panels which happens rarely.
I visited 5494's panel about anatomy deformations and since I was drawing there I felt really. not. good. You know the feeling that every line you draw is wrong, don't you? I had it there. It was terrible. But the panel itself was great, I love how that girl is doing panels ; D
Next panel I was on, was done by Sah. It was about drawing comics and she's so good at it! She was telling very interesting and complicated stuff that matters a lot but is not widely known. So if you get a chance to visit her panel please do! And yes, there will be more in our artists' rooms on conventions next year : D
Last one (done by 5494 and CatsCafe) was about publishing comics in Poland. Because it was really late mainly those most interested came and we could easily share our experiences and rant about our situation xD
Usada and me also did our Reborn panel. And honestly, it was our first panel so many people came to see. Fanservice in Reborn is a very powerful thing, I would say. Thank you everyone who visited, I hope you enjoyed it!
On Sunday I was even more zombie. I mainly stayed at our booth going really hyper with Lancha and Salomea. I wonder if we scared some people. Well, at least I'm sure we looked really retarded. Lack of sleep people, it's scary.
It was a really cold and rainy day but it didn't stop our group from buying ice creams after the con. Then we went to Sah's place in Cracow. We planned to show Lancha the city, but she had to leave early on Monday. There was a plan to do some sightseeing on Sunday evening but we were all so deadly tired it was impossible.
The rest of the days I've spent with Usa and Sah. On Monday our crazy order from Japanese amazon arrived so we took a lot of time to drool over all those Japanese artbooks and manga. And I decided that Comic Blade Avarus is a very nice monthly manga magazine xD
Yesterday we went to see Inception. I agree with everyone who thinks that this movie is amazing. Though I'm weird and I think that final scene could be more creepy because it wasn't enough for me.
As for today, I'm going back and I really don't want to. And I'm lazy, I don't want to go back and draw lol.
Back to Balcon, I would like to thank everyone who prepared panels for our room and all people who visited us as well as for your great help on our vanilla-yoghurt booth! Than you guys, you're the best! : D

active at twitter
As some of you might have noticed I'm not that much active here anymore. I've always wanted to keep this space for finished illustrations but the thing is, I either don't have time to finish anything or I can't publish it. But I'm back to drawing a lot, though it's mostly sketches.
In the meantime though I've became more active on twitter. I post there my sketches, wips, updates about my not so exciting Japanese life and retweet pretty art ; D Feel free to follow me there: https://twitter.com/AnicaPanica
Life Update
It's super late, but I would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes! It really cheered me up, that you guys have send me wishes despite my general inactivity nowadays! Thank you <3
I'm not drawing much lately. Once again I've put my priorities more to learning Japanese than drawing, because well, right now it's a matter of survival a bit ; D I'm doing fine though, I've started my art uni, got a job, life is rolling. But still, every day is pretty much a challenge but I guess I like it lol
Hope you are doing fine too! : D
TEMPORARY STORE OPEN
I’m back from Japan Expo Sud, thank you everyone for visiting!
I also have lefover stuff so I’ve decided to make a little sale now as I’m quitting conventing for at least a couple of years.
There are postcards, B5 prints, bookmarks and my sketchbook. It all contains mostly my original pictures but there are also some Haikyuu, Tokyo Ghoul, Free and Sailor Moon postcards/bookmarks.
Please take a look!
The store will be open till 26th of March.
Master's, Japan Expo Sud and Japan
I guess it's high time to write some life updates. Since I'm somewhat at the point of collecting awards for my last 5 years, or whatever should I call it.
I just got back from my Master's thesis defense which went surprisingly well and I'm now legitimized Master of Arts. I wrote about anime style, it was fun. And did an animation about aggressive aliens in a glasses store. I will upload it sometime later.
Concerning my future plans, I will be attending Japan Expo Sud in Marseille in March (booth E82 in hall 3), is anyone coming?
This will be also be my last European con for a longer while as in April I will be moving to Japan to study trad
